The book signing event with Father Bob was a tremendous success. At times there were 50 people waiting in the queue. Of course Father Bob, ever ready to chat and come up with many of his well-known and un-expected quips, entertained everyone in his own inimitable way.
The weather was kind, and Rainy Day Books have added todays visit by Father Bob to their portfolio of book signing events.
What a way to meet and chat with interesting people, as well as make new friends as you wait in a queue!

THE START OF SUMMER!
Lounging around a pool, under a shady tree or at the beach what you need is a good long escapist book to read. Maybe even a trilogy.
I don’t think an electronic reader would be safe at the beach, all that sun and sand would cause havoc.
This week's window has lots of interesting sets of books to read including the hilarious Rhys Bowen set of Evans the Welsh constable, a boxed set of Daphne Du Maurier classics, Gibbons History of the decline and fall of the Roman empire and Winnie the Pooh new boxed set for the hidden child in all of us.
Try and find some time this summer to just curl up and read.
“A successful novel should interrupt the reader’s life,
make him or her miss appointments,
skip meals,
forget to walk the dog.” ― Stephen King
